He scored twice in Real Madrid’s 7-3 thumping over Sevilla in the Primera Division on Wednesday night and now the Los Blancos’ highest paid player, Gareth Bale has set his sights on improving further. The 86 million euros man from Wales was highly criticized over the past few weeks due to his injury and problems with the management.
The criticism went further when the left-footed forward gave an abysmal performance during the ‘El Clasico’ and was substituted later on. The Camp Nou crowd gave him a hostile reception and his every touch was booed. But, Bale put all those tough times behind him as he gave a stellar performance at Bernabeu.
He was quoted on RealMadrid.com saying that, “I felt good and I completed the whole game. I have to keep improving and working hard to be one hundred per cent as soon as possible. It was a great night and important to my fitness. We played very well and hopefully we will have more games like this in the future.”
He also praised the home crowd and vowed the team to put up a much better performances in the games ahead. He added, “It was a great game and a great atmosphere. We played very well and we got a lot of goals but the important thing is to have got the three points and we have scored many goals which is very positive for us. The downside has been that we have received several goals, but we were good, it gives us confidence. We have a lot of confidence and hopefully we can keep winning and producing performances like tonight.”
With the games coming thick and fast for Real Madrid, their most expensive player must stand up and woo the crowds as he did back then in England.
