Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: Two
What you need:
1 small cup of suji (rava)
½ small cup besan
1 tsp red chilli powder,
2 onions, finely chopped
1 big tomato, finely chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt to taste
A pinch of hing (asafoetida)
Oil for cooking
How to make:
- In a large bowl, add suji and besan, and pour some water. Mix well to form a loose batter.
- Add onions, tomatoes, green chilli, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, hing and salt. Combine well with the suji mix.
- Heat oil in a pan and make a disk out of the batter on it. When the bubbles start developing on the upper side and it is slightly cooked from below, turn it upside down.
- Keep turning both the sides until it’s cooked properly. Serve hot with coriander chutney or ketchup. Repeat with the remaining batter.
