Everybody who desires to have an ideal bod would agree how tedious the weight loss journey is. If you ever say that you want to lose weight to your near dear ones, then there are several tips are bombarded over you. But do these tips are right? Are they coming from right person or source?
Weight loss, as mentioned, is not easy but if not followed properly one can put themselves in jeopardy.
Let’s have a look at some tips that people recommend but are mere myths which one should not follow.
If someone tells you to starve throughout the day or tell you to reduce the number of chapattis you eat then your friend or well wisher needs some guidance himself/herself first.
But they forget to tell you what you should eat less. One should avoid sugar, salt, trans and saturated fats and refined flour.
Many people suggest going on liquid diets that are quite famous nowadays but these diets are downright scary. You will soon get flab as soon as you start living on regular foods. And one should know that starvation is not the key it will lead to over eating and will not at all help you to lose weight. So eat after every 2-3 hours. Period.
One should calculate their BMR that is basal metabolic rate first to know how much calories one requires. This number is the number of calories one can burn in a day if you did nothing. One should stick to this number and less than this. Eating less than BMR will lead to long term problems.
Drinking ample amount of water our needs is important. But people are hardly hydrated. Sometimes our body gives out symptoms of hunger but actually it is the thirst so drinking right amount water is needed no doubt. But one should not just rely on water. Do not cut down our portion sizes or for less calorie food. So drinking water is good for health whether you want to trim down or not. But over drinking is not the remedy here.
Those who love snack do not have to dishearten you as this assumption is not full proof yet. If you feel hungry then do not stop yourself from grabbing healthy fat, fiber rich snack which will keep your body fit and will not lead to weight gain.
This is not true. Some successful weight losses have happened by making small changes that are done for a long time. But yes persistent efforts are required. As per research, 19-64 should get at least 150 minutes of physical activity. (But this does not apply for obese people as they need more workout session).
The healthy way is to eat the proper diet as per your dietitian and lose around 0.5-2 pounds a week as a sudden drop in weight is dangerous.
Do not jump in all the tips given by your friends or family members. It is best to consult doctor or research in detail before you follow any cheap tricks.
