How times have changed for SRK and his fans as well! Right from the TV show, ‘Circus’ where a young actor announced himself on the national stage to the ‘Dard-e-disco’ SRK who made the ladies swoon to the six-pack abs in the movie, ‘Om Shanti Om’.
The ‘Ra One’ actor couldn’t be brawnier than ever before as he was latest seen in the promos of upcoming flick, ‘Happy New Year’. The actor would be seen in a new avatar with none other than a chiselled body and 8-pack abs! No wonder the ladies are going ‘gaga’ over Shah Rukh for the new look. The ‘abs’ category is not new to the B-town industry.
Right before SRK, Aamir Khan famously flaunted his physique in the hit movie ‘Ghajini’ and soon the trend caught up with rest of the lot. Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ to Salman Khan’s ‘Veer’, every actor sports a six-pack now. Getting in those rock-hard eight-pack abs (or 10?), which would make any man half of his age jealous, is down to sheer perseverance and hard work. Shah Rukh Khan is a twitterati and the actor tweeted a picture that also mentioned as to how the former felt shy talking about his body.
Also, it was down to his personal trainer Prashant Sawant, who took the time to deliver such absolute physicality. In a recent interview to a tabloid, Sawant dotted the workout regime of Shah Rukh Khan. So guys, if you are interested in getting that well-oiled abs, take a note below.
Sawant says, “He would work out five days a week for one hour and twenty minutes. We would train at 2 or 3 am at night. SRK is a true Night Rider. There was a combination of functional and strength training. The workouts were also suspension and weight training. I got these special vibrating dumbbells for him. Other training methods included powerplay techniques which really helped his shoulder and also 10 min cardio. He would do many stomach crunches. Every month and later, every 15 days I would change his workout routine.”
This is the first time ever; the open public has got to know what training regime an actor goes through. Besides the workout part, here’s what the ‘King of Bollywood’ ate to refuel his muscles. The diet included – Eggs with two pieces of brown bread, Coffee, Chicken sandwiches, Chicken salad, Protein supplement through the day, Snacks of white egg omelette or sweet potato, Grilled fish or chicken or stir fried vegetables for dinner and in the final month, an extra bit of chicken to the chicken sandwich. Woah! Now that’s ‘helluva’ food on the platter.
What more, Shah Rukh Khan even took the #BangBang challenged posted by dear friend Hrithik Roshan, where the former shows off a cool new body.
Hunk or no hunk, SRK has won over the fans with his acting and the body as well. Well, someone down the road off Jannat might NOT be happy at all.
