Freedom:
It goes without saying that when your partner is away from you, it gives you plenty of time and energy to invest in your goals and needs. You can meet up with your friends, go out for drinks with colleagues, pursue your hobbies, meet up whoever you want and have guilt-free fun. You can also wear, do and behave the way you want to, without having somebody breathing down your neck 24/7. LDR is as good as being single, except that you do have that special someone to talk to and share stuff with.
No bickering:
When your time together is limited, in terms of phone and mail conversations, you wouldn’t end up bickering with each other. You would rather spend that time talking to each other about things of importance than irrelevant stuff. You would rather have a good time finding out about each other’s day than pick a fight about something that’s been on your mind for a long time. But when you’re in the same city or location and meet up with each other on a regular basis, it might cause tensions and arguments. Which would you rather choose?
Dates become special:
Even seemingly ‘boring’ dates will feel special as you’re meeting your significant other after a long time. When you end up meeting your guy/girl on a regular basis, you might have to do something extraordinary to make your partner feel special. But when you meet him/her after a long time, even a single cup of coffee can seem romantic and fulfilling. You don’t have to go out of the way to make your partner feel loved and desired when you’re visiting them after a long time. Let’s not forget that you’ll be treated to some sensational ‘loving’ when you meet him/her. *Winks*
No boredom:
With you guys staying apart for so long, there’s no way you will be bored of each other when she/he comes to meet you. Unlike conventional dating, LDRs never get boring or ‘yawn-inducing’. There’s always a new story, a fun incident and something amazing to look forward to. You never run out of topics and things to talk about. There’s always anticipation and excitement when you meet him/her after a long time.
Despite the distance, there are many who have made their relationships work, and how! Because all you really need is love, understanding and communication. In fact, a little bit of hatred is needed in a relationship to balance out the emotions. Because when you fall for somebody, you have to accept them for their good as well their bad.
