I will be there for you, always:
This is a simple line that every girl wants her guy to say to her. Whether it’s about being her driver-on-call, her stress buster, her favourite pub-hopping guy or her personal shrink, being there for her is the most important thing for her…especially for those couples who are separated by distance and time. Even if being physically there isn’t possible, be there for her emotionally and psychologically. Be genuine and mean every word that you say.
I will be loyal:
No girl wants her guy to have roving eyes. If you really want her to be the love of your life, show her that she means the world to you. Tell her that you’ll be loyal as long as you’re with her. Loyalty, trust and fidelity are the three pillars of a relationship, which can’t be compromised upon. While harmless flirting and having a bunch of friends who are girls is absolutely fine, don’t give her a reason to get worried sick at night.
I won’t patronize you:
More than anything, your girl wants to feel your equal. Don’t patronize her. Ever. There’s a fine line between chivalry and patronization, so watch how you tread that path. It’s important to not be condescending as she has own views and opinions. Nobody has the right to ridicule her wants and needs.
I will let you dream:
Although she doesn’t need your permission to dream big. She sure need your support to make it big in life. Let her dream, fall, pick up and experience all that life has to offer. You can’t stop her from running after her goals because to her, those things are extremely important. Even if you can’t support her dream, don’t become a hindrance at least. Show your support and think
of rule number one.
I will always inspire you: Promise to inspire her to be a better person. If you don’t interest and inspire her, there’s nothing to look forward to in your relationship. Be it good books, movies, entertainment or about life, make sure to ignite her passions.
Apart from all of these, promise to love her always. Trust her, let her have her space and be as supportive as you can. Remember, the more freedom you give, the lesser complaints she will have of you.
