Speculations were rife for a few days that Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga can be romantically involved after their slushy performance in Oscars together. In the evening, the stars together left the audience emotional when they performed the song ‘ Shallow’ from their movie ‘A Star in Born’.
Gaga took the swirling rumours with a grain of salt and outrightly refuted them in the Jimmy Kimmel show. Lady Gaga shared a hearty laughter with Jimmy Kimmel in his show, which is her first appearance on a late night talk show after the steamy performance with Cooper in the evening of Oscars last Sunday. Jimmy Kimmel cheekily addressed the piece of gossip that has been circulating ever since.
Kimmel said that Gaga’s effortless connection with Bradley that set the gossip mills churning, he thinks is beneficial because you remain at the talking point.
As for Gaga’s response towards it, she just feigned nonchalance with a dramatic eye-roll. That was, we guess enough to shut down all the rumours in an instant.
According to Lady Gaga, “First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet and what it’s done to pop culture is abysmal,” She took her foot down and blasted the rumours. According to Gaga, A Star is Born is a love story where people saw love because that’s what they wanted them to see .
Gaga admitted that she usually finds it hard to give up control when it comes to a live musical performance but Bradley had a vision for the performance as he has directed the film so she obliged. She thinks that from a performance perspective, it was really important for both of them that we were connected the entire time. Gaga further added that, “”When you’re singing love songs, that’s how you want people to feel.”
An emphatic Gaga said that the chemistry viewers were seeing was just acting and that’s how it’s supposed to be because they both are seasoned actors. “I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!”.
Both Gaga and Bradley Cooper were emoting perfectly during their performance. They gazed into each other’s eyes and sat side-by-side in the entire time they performed.
To tell you, Cooper attended the Oscar with his girlfriend, Russian model Irina Shayk, with whom he has an 1-year-old daughter.
Despite everyone knowing everything, the dating rumours hounded the actors throughout their promotional tour for A Star is Born and the following award session. However, the rumours blew out of proportion in the 91st Annual Academy Awards when their pair pulled of a hot and evocative duet together out off their Oscar-winning song ‘Shallow’.
