Do you collect comic books or chocolate wrappers or may be even nail cutters? Oh yes hobbies in general talk about the hidden craving people have.
Do you collect comic books or chocolate wrappers or may be even nail cutters? Oh yes hobbies in general talk about the hidden craving people have.
Stamp collection is a hobby that most of us might have indulged in our childhood. Apart from collecting stamps people do indulge into a lot of wild activities that they claim to be their hobbies.
Listing some of the bizarre hobbies that would baffle you:
Playing Dead:
Chuck Lamb from Columbus, Ohio gained fame through his hobby of playing dead. He would post pictures of him acting dead on his websites.
This bizarre hobby actually made him famous with the print and TV and media industry talking about him.
Collecting Tea Bags:
Not exactly the part dipped but the wrappers form an unusual attraction for some. Collection of such tea bag wrappers is actually a hobby for Geert Vinck from Belgium.
He had been collecting tea bags since the age of 5yrs. His collection exceeds 12,000 tea bags.
Photobombing:
This is the latest hobby. You may be taking a selfie and you find out a creepy clown behind you. People deliberately might stand behind you while you are taking the picture and ruin the moment.
The worst wedding moments have been reported to be ruined by such photobombers. Photobombing can also be accidental wherein the person comes in the frame without actually realising. But again the moment is ruined.
Collecting milk bottles:
Britain’s Paul Nuke started collecting milk bottles from the age of 9yrs.
He has more than 10k milk bottles now and his collection grew so much that he was forced to build a museum at the back garden.
Appearing in the background of TV:
Similar to photobombing this one is more like a videobombing.
Paul Yarrow of south London bombed the videos with his deliberate appearances behind the news anchors.
He made his appearances in the background of live news reports of BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky News.
Taphophilia:
This hobby describes the keen interest of a person in funerals, cemeteries, etc.
The person likes exploring and reading about cemeteries, taking note of the epitaphs, cemetery photography, etc.
Owling:
Hundreds of people from America, Australia, etc. had been reported to take up owling as a crazy hobby.
It is an act of sitting like an owl on various objects at random places and of course uploading those pictures on social networking sites.
Hobbies are habits but the above ones seem like an obsession. Some people do it for fun but I really wonder how their families would react.
Just imagine your partner has this hobby of acting dead and taking pictures. It is a little eerie to even think of these weird activities that people claim to be their hobbies.
