Some of the most cool lines spoken by the babe on Koffee With Karan have been chosen and dissected with amazing virtual techniques, as if the maker is trying to convey Ms Kapoor – ‘darlin’ enough of your bullshit’.
I love the way the cartoonish twang is blended with Sonam’s voice. It’s sure to give you the giggles. The way SK says ‘you know what I mean’ and ‘what rubbish’ after every other sentence, while she made an appearance on KJo’s chat show has been transformed into a sort of a joke by this virtual monster. And I love it, because it’s done so amazingly.
My favourite point in the video arrives when Sonam says, ‘I want to go down in posterity’. Now of course each one of us laughed when we heard that on the show. By putting on an infuriating accent and just by wearing fashionable clothes, one doesn’t get to take the road to posterity. The way ‘posterity’ is repeated in a goofy way and the seriousness of the word is reduced to a mere ‘frivolous’ term – I must say it’s mission accomplished for the editing dude.
The absolute laugh riot stunt is reserved for the last part though. The moment Sonam says, ‘I want to do social work’ – the background echoes with a resounding round of laughter. That gave the perfect finishing touch to this deriding ‘selfie song’. I doubt Sonam is going to be sporting enough to give this one a thumbs up. She might just give a snort of derision and maybe post it on Twitter and attach a rude comment along with it.
