Chennai-based organization Vidya sagar is all set to launch a course on Human Rights for the benefit of people with disabilities, on December 10th– World Human Rights Day.
The course will give special focus on disability rights of people who suffer from it, and will contain various international conventions and perspective of leaders from all over the world on the topic.
Apart from that it could also include national and international practices of human rights saving, personality development techniques, research methodologies, internships at various platforms and a final evaluation test for future practices of candidates taking the course.
The course is likely to commence from 10th of December, and the medium of instruction is English. The duration of the course is for three months. The minimum eligibility to register for the course is that the student must have passed his/her matriculation and is above 18 years of age.
“The course aims at developing more persons with and without disabilities to be self-advocates, standing up for their rights and at the same time experiencing an inclusive platform to learn and network with their counterparts. This is one among our various measures towards increasing disability equity and full human rights and fundamental freedom of people with disabilities,” said a statement released by the organization.
The last date to apply for the current term of the course is November 22nd.
