The Indian Army is the second largest army in the world after China, they stand as a wall of the nation, uprooting each plans of infiltration and saving the countrymen from the foes. It symbolizes the ideals of service, patriotism and discipline, which is the foundation of a country’s defense machinery. The recruitment is open for all without any differentiation, all you need to be an Indian citizen with sound health and iron pillar of determination with the basic education criteria required as per the course. The Union Public Service Commission recruits the commissioned Army officers through NDA (National Defense Academy) examinations, organized all over India. As an Indian Air Force officer, you will strategize, lead and rule the sky. The commissioned officers are recruited by the UPSC like other two branches of Army and Navy. Depending on the qualification one can join various branches of Air Force. Here I cannot stop myself from mentioning Flying Officer Avni Chaturvedi, a 24years old girl who made history by becoming first female fighter pilot, proving that nothing can limit a valiant not even being a woman.

Army, Air Force and Navy are the institutions which forms the foundation of the defense wall of India. Several other armed forces are there to strengthen the defensive wall, so that no one can challenge the security and pride of the nation. The other forces are: Border Security Forces, Indian Coast Guards, CRPFs, Police force, NSG Commandos and many more. They all have a single mission: to confront the enemies and challenges to save the nation.
