We all want our partners to be perfect. They have to have a perfect job, perfect looks and even perfect degrees. Goddamit. When we ourselves are full of flaws (read: crap), how can we expect out partners to score a 10/10 on everything?
In fact, flaws are beautiful and humane. They make us better individuals. Here are five reasons why your partner should have flaws.
They won’t judge:
If your partner is flawed, there’s no way in hell he/she would have the guts to judge you. Even if you have a weird OCD that can drive even the sanest person crazy, you can be sure that your living partner will overlook your eccentric streaks. It applies the same to you as well. Since you’re flawed at some level, you cannot keep nagging him/her to be the epitome of perfection.
They are more humane:
Who wants to date a plastic person who is so superficial on the surface that you have to be with them for a decade to decode their true personality. But the imperfect kinds are more humane and won’t keep secrets from you. They would want to share everything with you , because that’s how we roll. No, really.
They live each day as if it’s their last:
I guess the thought of not being ‘perfect’ gives them the ability to live and enjoy each day as if it’s their last. They are more fun loving than hard-up plastic people who are always worried about spoiling their ‘perfect’ image. You should totally be with someone who knows how to have fun and takes each day as a precious gift. Too much planning and plotting will do you no good.
They will stay loyal:
They know that someone else would be little them for their flaws and appreciate you for your care and love. Perhaps that’s why they would remain loyal and in love for as long as it takes. Some people with anger issues know that only their partners can handle them, so they don’t stray and try to work on their issues so they can give their partners everything. Aww.
They are not afraid to take chances:
They are confident, despite their various flaws. And that’s what makes them ‘cool’. They will never shy away from taking chances as they haven’t been handed over anything on a silver spoon.
You should look for a partner who has flaws and appreciates you for what and who you are.
