So the final itinerary for Test matches will be: Kolkata’s Eden Gardens will host the first Test of the series from Nov 6-10, followed by the Mumbai Test from Nov 14-18. It was reported that Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore and even Ahmedabad were in the race to host that ‘200th Test’ but after Tendulkar’s request to bow out on his home ground, BCCI awarded the match to Mumbai.
Also said, there are reports that Sachin had insisted to play the Test match at Wankhede so as his mother will watch him for one last time. In his illustrious career, Sachin’s mother, Rajni Tendulkar has not seen her son playing in flesh. This might be the only time that the iconic batsman will be playing in front of his mother.
