He may not be playing the India whites this time but India’s ODI specialist batsman Suresh Raina has words of appreciation for Sachin Tendulkar. Raina termed the landmark 200th Test as a great moment for the country and said that the playing career of the iconic batsman was “unbelievable”.
Speaking to the press, Raina said, “It’s a great moment for Sachin and every one in the country as he is going to play his 200th international Test match, which is unbelievable. Playing the 200th Test match is just unbelievable as no one in the history of cricket has achieved the milestone which Sachin is going to achieve.”
Sachin was at the other end when Raina had scored his maiden Test ton in 2010. He describes Sachin as a special cricketer and a perfect team man. “What he achieved in his 25-year-long career is remarkable and he is a good human being as well as a perfect team mate. He is a nice person, his commitment to the game is amazing and he has always been there for us (young players) when we face difficulties at international level.”
“Sachin is a different class of player and no one in the country would be able to fill the place to be vacated by him after the Mumbai Test match,” Raina said.
