One of India’s batting icon and a nemesis for many opposition bowlers, Laxman represented the country for more than a decade has been one of the leading run-scorer in the recent past.
His gentlemanisque behaviour and stylish play, was often lauded by many ex players and pundits.
Throughout his playing span, Laxman had an exceptional Test career with a massive 8781 runs in 134 matches. He had a resounding average of 49.37 with 17 centuries and 56 half-centuries. Moreover, Laxman was known to be an archenemy to the Aussie bowlers especially his innings of 281 in Kolkata 2001 that is remembered even today.
