Marcus Trescothick
England southpaw, Marcus Trescothick returned home from England’s tour of India in February 2006 claiming he was suffering from a viral illness. Later the same year, he travelled to Australia but after the first two warm-up games, he flew home with a “stress-related illness”. In 2008, he announced an early retirement from international cricket because of mental health issues.
Michael Yardy
England spinner Michael Yardy too returned home from their 2011 World Cup campaign in India after claiming his fight with depression.
