Here are 5 points that we feel Michael Clarke and men should adhere to in the forthcoming Ashes:
England who took the previous Ashes series back home (3-0), will enter this series as firm favourites. Australia playing on their home soil need to pick up their game in order to avoid another defeat. Here are 5 points that we feel Michael Clarke and men should adhere to in the forthcoming Ashes:
Bat positively
Aussies got decimated and were outplayed in England with most of their batsmen under-performing. Now, Aussies in their own backyard should take advantage of the conditions and bat with a positive frame of mind.
Bowlers should bowl in the right place
With bowling Craig McDermott in the team management, the likes of Mitchell Johnson and co. would benefit from his presence. The Aussie bowling line-up should exploit the bowling conditions and give minimal batting pleasure to the Poms.
Partnerships is a must!
If Aussies are to build a huge score, they should build on partnerships. Surely, coach Darren Lehmann and Michael Clarke must have discussed on this in their team meetings. Aussies did not have good partnerships in their previous outing in England and that should be looked into.
Target Stuart Broad!
We miss the Aussies of the old, the sledging and pinpointing at certain individuals. Broad had come under large scrutiny when he did not leave the crease even though the former had edged the ball off his bat in the third Ashes Test in July this year. If the Aussies are pumped up, Broad and co. shouldn’t expect a joyride!
Pick a ‘perfect XI’
Michael Clarke has a tough job at his disposal – picking the right bunch of eleven players for the Ashes series. Pup should avoid trial and changes and should trust his men who canstand up and fight for the Urn!
