About

Established in 1948 by a small band of dedicated teachers of the D.J Sind College Karachi, Jai Hind College was founded while the tragic event of India’s partition took place. The college believes in imparting useful and meaningful education, so that the students will emerge as good citizens of India.

Jai Hind has gone on to become one of the premier educational institutions of Mumbai. The motto of the college, I will and I can, encourages and inspires the students to break the pre – conceived boundaries of performance. It encourages them to dream, and to use the latest innovative ideas and technology to realize those dreams. Jai Hind students truly believe that nothing is impossible, and that the sky is the limit for them.

Courses

The Faculty of Arts is as old as the college. It is an all encompassing realm for the various subjects which fall under the Arts stream. Courses offered by the Arts stream in Junior and Senior college are: B.A. and B.Com.

The Science Faculty of Jai Hind College was established in 1949, with the introduction of the pure science subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Botany. Science section offers courses on B.SC.

Other than AIDED courses, the college offers UNAIDED courses which include: BBI(Bachelor of Banking and Insurance), BAF(Bachelor of Accounting and Finance), BFM(Bachelor of Financial Markets), BMS(Bachelor of Management Studies) and BMM(Bachelor of Mass Media). Facilities

An abundance of recreational activities can be found in-campus of Jai Hind college. Other than the well equipped laboratories and a gym with a good number of machineries, there is a cafeteria known to be the most happening place in campus. Indoor games like Table Tennis and carrom are also encouraged as a part of student’s personality development.
