What makes Bollywood’s high priestesses of fashion stand apart? It’s the quirk factor. From funky prints to unorthodox drapes, B-Town babes have been living it up in quirky sartorial choices. We take a look at some of the coolest combos this week. Read on!
Deepika Padukone:
The leggy lass can look like a million bucks even on a casual outing. The nerdy-meets-cool pair of glares, her tax oxfords, sequinned crop with folded jeans. Wow! We love how casual, yet ‘put together’ her outfit is. Her hair up in a neat pony tail, she went zero on the make-up and accessories. Great move!
Vidya Balan:
Okay, first of all…we never thought the voluptuous beauty would make it to this list. Always criticized for her poor sartorial choices, we were surprised to see her mix it up at a recent event. The yellow-grey Payal Singhal sari looks gorgeous on Vidya, who paired it with a blackhigh-neck blouse. Gold jewellery, an elegant updo and neat make-up rounds off her look. We love it! You?
Kangna Ranaut:
Her wild hair is enough to add the much needed pop to any outfit, but the zingy babe has been having a great run…fashion-wise. We love the printed skirt paired with a semi-sheer top and geeky glasses. The ankle boots and stockings add an element of naughtiness to this look. And she wisely offsets the black by painting her lips red. What’s not to like!
Sonam Kapoor:
She has never been known for being quirky. Classy, yes. Stunning, sure. But quirky? She tried to break the myth in a print-overload Annamika Khanna. We can’t say we are fans of this creation as there’s just too much happening with three different prints thrown in. Not helping her are her earrings and the high-necked blouse.
Tisca Chopra:
We absolutely love the colour on her, but the bust of the Pankaj and Nidhi was quite off. She should have worn something black inside as the nude colour doesn’t really work on this. She did look good otherwise, so not a deal breaker for us. What about you guys? Think she worked it? We give this look ‘not quite’ especially after seeing Deepika Padukone and Huma Qureshi wear the jacket rather well during their respective film promotions.
