Today whichever sector you are employed with or whichever situation you find yourself in your personal life, for every decision of yours, you truly wish that you knew how the other person would react.
The title sounds a little weird, does it not?
But you’d know what am I talking about here, if you ever felt your colleague was annoying because he was too loud or tumultuous or if he couldn’t get what you were talking about, in an instant.
Rules are meant for us to follow. They do not decide the nature or behaviour of a person, as even a lifetime is not enough for a person to know the other. Today whichever sector you are employed with or whichever situation you find yourself in your personal life, for every decision of yours, you truly wish that you knew how the other person would react.
I have come across a number of books and journals claiming bizarre and complex theories to help generalize the nature of a person. Maybe, people who read them thoroughly would have a fair idea of information that could be generalized on people, but then are not obvious. There are times when generalizing has caused conflicts, social errors and emotional drainage between people.
In this technology driven era, we are largely dependent on electronics or other appliances for even a small work we are supposed to do. But what we fail to realize is that we, the supreme of all species, are yet devoid of some instrument that could read a person’s mind and help us act accordingly.
People are inherently and genetically different. Only when we truly understand the people around us, will we become successful entrepreneurs, dedicated employees and a friendly being. Connectively, have you ever wondered why do people end up firing employees/getting fired, quitting jobs or even ending a relationship?
You and only you can find an answer to this question. For every industry recruiting individuals who understand their target sector the best, has been the top notch. Be it marketing, client servicing, product based, teaching, medicine, construction and what-not, you name the industry and the top requirement for recruitment is to understand the client’s need.
What grabbed my mind on a similar note was that, whether we treat people the way they need to be treated or the way we think they should be? Is it that we try to understand what every individual is trying to communicate to us or we try to understand only them who are important to us in that particular time frame? Because if that was the matter, we wouldn’t see people quitting jobs or a boss unnecessarily annoyed with the employee or even broken relationships.
What we need to learn here is that we need to understand people’s personality to give them what they expect from us. This enables them to build their trust on us, and hence converts them into our loyal clients. Don’t you think you can get along with any one, if you know who he/she is and how do they expect to be treated.
Well, the world would be a totally different place then. Don’t you think?
