Honda has finally announced the launch date of its most-awaited model – the Honda Mobilio.

The Japanese car manufacturer has already started taking bookings for this multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at an initial deposit of Rs. 50,000, and the car would hit the Indian roads on 23rd July 2014.

The Honda Mobilio price range is Rs 6.25 lakh to Rs 8.50 lakh.

What is Different and Special about Honda Mobilio?

With the aim to compete with the likes of Toyota Innova & Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, the Honda Mobilio MPV offers extra space & comfort, and exudes oodles of style. This certainly is a plus point for the coupe.

The 7-seater vehicle measures 4,390 mm in length, 1,680 mm in width & 1,610 mm in height, and the car boasts of a wheelbase of 2.6-metres & a ground clearance of 185mm. The MPV gets extra space in the 3rd row, as well as a spacious cabin, thanks to its extended wheelbase.

The prevalent Honda models, with a generous use of the color beige, influence the Honda Mobilio interiors. The MPV gets the music system of the Honda City and the automobile giant has equipped all variants of the model, except the base variant, with ABS-EBD technology. The top two variants will also come with front airbags.

The other significant features of Hondo Mobilio include a curved dashboard for extra legroom, shoveled seat backs for added knee space, redesigned roof lining for more head space, tumble 3rd row seats to make the ride more comfy, concave door lining for extra space on the sides, and conducive one-touch 2nd row droppable seats for easy entry & exit.

Powered by 2 fuel-efficient engines – the 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol mill promises to give a mileage of 18.2Km/l and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel mill claims to give a mileage of 24.2Km/l. The four-wheeler guarantees full worth of the money spent on it.

The diesel engine is the same as that of the Honda Amaze & Honda City and we expect it to yield 100bhp power and 205Nm of torque. The petrol version would muster 117bhp and 145Nm of torque.

Honda’s Marketing Strategy:

With its tagline ‘Man Maximum Machine Minimum’, Honda is marketing its all-new product aggressively. With various interesting campaigns and other marketing initiatives, Honda has roped in stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma for its TV commercial.

With its 2 and a half-minute advertisement, the manufacturer of this family car has tried to connect with its target audience through the wit & humor of Kapil who is very popular among Indian families. This association may do the trick for Honda, as TV commercials play an important role in luring the customers!

There has been a lot of hype about this car, and we look forward to its fate and the reviews of the Honda Mobilio!
