With its launch expected in January 2015, this all-new hatchback is one of the most talked about cars today. Honda had launched the petrol version of this car way back in 2009, but due to the rise in petrol prices and low sales, the Japanese manufacturer discontinued the sales.
However, this time Honda Jazz comes with a diesel engine option and some new & exciting features.
With an aim of competing with cars such as Volkswagen Polo, Hyundai i20, Maruti Swift, Fiat Punto and more, the Honda Jazz sports a contemporary, stylish, and impressive design.
Design, Built & Exteriors:
Available in six enticing colors – Tafeta White,Habanero Red, Crystal Black Pearl, Sherbet Blue, Alabaster Silver, and Deep Sea Blue – the hatchback has undergone a cool makeover. With a new hexagon-shaped grille design, large extended head light cluster, bright silver & mat colored halogen lamps, chic alloy wheels, and more, the Honda Jazz exteriors are much more attractive than that of its predecessor.

The other Honda Jazz features include power steering wheel, music system with FM Radio, CD, & MP3 player, USB interface, an auto volume leveler, touch-screen system, front and rear speakers, climate control, and more.
Engine & Performance:
Powered by both petrol and diesel engine options, the hatchback promises to fulfill the varied expectations of its prospective buyers. The petrol version with a 1.2-liter four-cylinder unit will produce 88 PS and 109 Nm of torque with a mileage of 16.7 kmpl. The 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine will produce 100 PS and yield 200 Nm of torque.
Price:
The expected Honda Jazz Price range is Rs 4.7 to 5 lakhs for the petrol version and Rs 6.5 – 7 lakhs for the diesel version, that is, a price little higher than the Brio hatchback and lesser than the Amaze sedan.
With its positive feedback from other countries, a fresh look, diesel engine, and advanced features, the Honda Jazz is the most-awaited hatchback of the year. The car does promise to meet the anticipations of the Honda lovers. However, we would have to wait till the next year to get the feedback for this car.
