Starting with a soft kiss with Siddharth Malhotra in her debut flick, Student of the Year, she went on to kiss much older but even hotter co-star, Randeep Hooda!
As much as her performance, her kiss was also talk of the town for the movie, Highway. And then came, 2States with Arjun Kapoor. The number of kisses and intimate scenes she did in this movie, must have made Emraan Hashmi bit nervous about his numero uno position as the serial kisser of Bollywood! But being her cousin, he must have compromised with the fact that whatever happens, the title of serial-kisser will remain in the family, firmly intact!
Yes, Emraan is her cousin and started the trend of kissing in every movie of his thereby making sure the movies did good business. But Alia is a modern girl and she is majorly talking with her acting performance rather than these gimmicks. It is an add-on thing to be able to see her kissing with all guns blazing! Such a pleasant change for the industry as well, to have an actress who acts supreme, is comfortable with her sexuality and doesn’t mind flaunting it too.
Even her up-coming movie, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, has many scenes where she is lip-locked with her co-star, Varun Dhawan. Now this guy is also polishing his art of kissing by smooching every actress in every movie he features in.
This does throws up an interesting question: Do these new kids on the block need lot of rehearsals or re-takes for that one perfect Kiss shot or is it more technical and quickly done away with? This can only be answered by the actors themselves but who knows, for all the re-takes they resort in, it is to improve the final scene or for their own pleasure! Ahem Ahem!
Well, we can go on and on about this kiss thing but somewhere we do agree with Alia’s dad, Mahesh Bhatt’s thought on this kissing spree. He feels this is 21st century and now something as basic as a kiss shouldn’t be a big issue for youngsters. Yeah, times are changing and more & more people are expressing their emotions, why not love through a kiss as well?
