It’s been ages Ghai has given a hit as a director. His last film was perhaps the Aishwarya Rai starrer Taal. Shaimak’s artistic choreography and Ash’s ethereal beauty were like a lethal combination. Cut to 2014, I guess Ghai is somehow not able to catch the pulse of the present generation. He has delivered duds like Kisna and Yuvvraj in the not so recent past.
Now the news is that Ms Kaif has signed a three film deal with Mukta Arts. In fact a lot of people also suggested Ghai that he cast Kat for the role of Mishti, but Ghai refused because he knew the Dhoom: 3 babe has her plate full with projects. But Ghai says he will work with Kaif someday, very soon,; he has scripts in place so it won’t take much time to set the wheels of his film in motion.
Now I can imagine the quandary Katrina would be in if she has to, like totally has to work with Subhash Ghai. The babe is one of the A-listers of B-town, who tries her best to be a part of some of the best films out there. Why would she put all that at stake and work with Ghai who’s lost his magical touch ages ago?
I think the director should either stop making films or just stick to producing because he needs to realise that we are not living in the ‘Ram-Lakhan’ or ‘Pardes’ era anymore. And I really doubt any of these popular Bollywood babes would give a nod to Ghai if he ever approaches them for a film that is…
