And we hear that she will be taking cues from her dance partner Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Singh in the ad. Ranbir and Shruti will be seen grooving to the remixed version of Saara Zamana from the ’80s blockbuster Yaarana. Of course we all remember how the gorgeous Neetu Singh matched steps with the angry young man of that generation – Amitabh Bachchan in that song.
Well, it seems the Ramaiya Vastavaiya babe has been hugely inspired by the veteran actor’s retro moves and has tried her best to emulate them in the commercial. In fact she saw the video of the fast paced track a couple of times as a part of her homework just so that she could do justice to this classic number. But unfortunately the babe was in for some major disappointment. She couldn’t do the exact steps as the LED lights that were fitted on her costume made the ensemble very heavy which is why doing the exact steps from the film was not possible.
While Shruti Haasan and Ranbir, both are looking quite hot in this commercial, we wouldn’t mind seeing the two in a movie together. And getting back to the Yaarana song, this is not the first time actors have tried to jiggle and wiggle like Neetu Singh and Amitabh Bachchan. Remember even Priyanka Chopra was seen in a light emanating outfit in Babli Badmaash from Shootout at Wadala. She paid a tribute to Big B in her jhagmag avatar in that song.
While Sara Zamana continues to be a hot favourite amongst these young kids, we wait for Ranbir and Shruti to rock it together in their illuminating LED avatars.
