Having starred in films like Rowdy Rathore, Son of Sardaar, Dabangg 2, and gaining attention from not only industry insiders, but also film critics and fans for her performance in Lootera is something I would admire her for.

Girl next door roles
From her debut film itself, she was given the title of the girl next door as she has always been taken for roles that don a saree and give her a look of being a typical Indian house-wife. Although in some roles, she did appear as a female wrestler, I like her in Dabbang where she played a girl always in a saree, doting shyness from her lover.
Competition in the industry
If you want to stick in the Bollywood industry, you have to have a slim figure that is acceptable not only to the filmmakers, but as well as to the audience. Sonakshi is fed-up of the image she set herself as in Bollywood, and wants to break the ice. In my opinion, maybe she too wishes to be amongst those actors who are considered a filmmaker’s favourite.
Rivalry with other actors
Deepika has upped her game and has entered the 100cr club, Katrina featured in Dhoom 3 which was among the all time favourites in Bollywood, touching the 300cr mark. Initially, this was Sonakshi’s playground, which is now been taken over by other actors. This might have not gone well with the Rowdy Rathore girl, as they have entered her space. If she too looses weight and attains a perfect figure, she will once again be the all time favourite of filmmakers.

Sonakshi continues to be looked upon as the desi girl; but if she loses weight, she would also be seen in attires designed by the premium fashionistas in the country. Although she did a Pantaloon campaign about two year back, her fashion sense has never been appreciated. A makeover would surely bring her in the limelight!
The actor is happy about her slim and trim look, as gym has never been her best friend.
We like her features but her close-to manly appearance did not go well with the viewers. A makeover is something we were looking forward to.
