Wonder how she would react if someone had let the skeletons out of her closet; I am sure Bebo would have taken her revenge.
Getting back to Kat and Ranbir, all was well in the lover’s paradise, until now. The two were all blissful and cheery, making appearances together, looking all content in each other’s company. The world was their love oyster…then what happened? After all those fancy holidays in Spain, New York and God knows how many more la-di-da places; looks like the two hit the road to boredom. I managed to get a whiff of the recent buzz around the two. Of whatever I have heard and read, this is what I can picture. Katrina must have asked her pyaare piya that it’s high time they decide on a wedding date so that she can ask her friends and family members to block it on the calendar straightaway. But the Kapoor kid must have responded with a noncommittal grunt. And that must have given rise to a string of problems, creating massive cracks in the relationship.
But ever wondered why B-town relationships are so fragile, so brittle like a glass. Why do people just walk out after spending some of the best times of the lives with their celeb partners? Here are a few reasons that I can come up with…
Insecurity: Bollywood is an illuminating galaxy of good looking men and women. Obviously anybody can start harbouring a sense of anxiety over losing their better half. That sense of fear and jealousy just creeps in, even though you yourself are blessed with amazingly good looks and a confident personality. A single news report stating that your partner was seen having a good time with his/her co-star can rock the stable boat as if you are hit by some sort of a tornado. So in Bollywood, ask a celeb what’s ‘implicit trust’ and they will say, never heard about it!
Ambition: A lot of these actors also germinate a notion that the lover might be a hindrance to the oh-so-rising career, even if some of them have done lesser films than Harman Baweja.
Variety: This sounds like the most applicable reason in Ranbir’s case. Poor lad, I don’t blame him. Some people are just wired that way; they can’t digest the idea of spending their whole lives with just one person. The Kapoor kid I think is way too scared of losing out on his single status. The ‘do bacche wala baap’ status, I am sure makes him purely nauseous.
Freedom: This is a very strong reason for a lot of couple in B-town to head to splitsville. People think it is cakewalk to make marriage work, but this is not normal marriage we are talking out. A relationship that’s constantly under the scanner, speculated by the media, followed the paps, comes with a complex set of challenges. And let me tell you creative people are eccentric. They like to do things their own way; be it an artist, a celeb or a painter. At times, when the partner doesn’t understand your job, it can be stifling. Then the only option left is to release yourself from the clutches of your lover and holler, ‘Freedom here I come’…
One can list down a thousand reasons, but to identify which one led the ship to hit the rocks in Ranbir-Katrina love story is still a mystery!
