With Eid usually blocked for Salman Movies, Diwali for Shahrukh’s and Aamir being superstitious about releasing his movies during Christmas, we all look forward to some of the most enjoyable Bollywood treats of the year!
We bring for our readers, the top 10 forthcoming movies of 2014 – a year of the clash of the three Khans of Bollywood.
1). Kick, Release Date: 25 July 2014: Salman Khan and an Eid release! Do we really have to say more? With the song ‘Jumme ki Raat’ already a hit with the masses, ‘Masala, Masti, Mazza, and Salman Madness’ – is what we expect from the movie!
2). Singham Returns, Release Date: 15th August 2014: Another ‘hot movie release date’ in Bollywood is Independence Day. Though most movies released on this date are not patriotic ones, but big releases scheduled on this day usually enter the 100-crore club! We look forward to the Ajay Devgn – Kareena Kapoor starrer next month.
3). Bang Bang, Release Date: 2nd October 2014: Dussehra release Hrithik – Katrina starrer Bang Bang is one of the most awaited movies this year. We have high expectations from this flick featuring one of the best looking on-screen couples.
4). Mary Kom, Release Date: 2nd October 2014: Another Dussehra release, Mary Kom, a biopic on the famous boxer, starring Priyanka Chopra, looks promising too.
5). Happy New Year, Release Date: 24th October 2014: Shahrukh Khan plus Diwali release equals to a super hit movie! We have seen this combo earlier and we know what to look forward to!
6). Action Jackson, Release Date: 7th November 2014: Directed by Prabhudeva featuring Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi Sinha, Action Jackson is a power packed offering for all action movie lovers!
7). Kill Dil, Release Date: Release Date: 14th November 2014: Ranveer Singh, Ali Zafar, & Parineeti Chopra starrer Kill Dil is a romantic action movie directed by Shaad Ali (of Saathiya, Bunty Aur Babli, & Jhoom Barabar Jhoom fame) and produced by Aditya Chopra under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
8). Bombay Velvet, Release Date: 28th November 2014: A special treat for all the Ranbir Kapoor fans – Bombay Velvet – is based on historian Gyan Prakash’s creation ‘Mumbai Fables’.
9). P.K., Release Date: 19th December 2014: The last month of 2014 (Aamir’s fav month) will see the release of P.K. directed by Rajkumar Hirani. Our advice? Go watch it! It’s an Aamir movie! You don’t get to see him every year.
10). Welcome Back, Release Date: 19th December 2014: Welcome Back, a sequel to the 2007 comedy flick –Welcome, also releases with P.K. We hope to close this year on a comic note with this movie!
Though there are many other releases scheduled this year, but we have picked the ones we expect to do well at the Box Office.
