Now no points for guessing, Sinha took great umbrage over this harmless li’l joke. I guess she felt all the more infuriated because she was nominated last time as well and was labelled as the worst performer for Son Of Sardar. Looks like Sinha hasn’t taken all these silly jibes with a pinch of salt. She in fact resorted to microblogging site Twitter for taking her revenge from the organisers of the show.
Sonakshi posted a picture of hers holding a real banana and wrote, “What to do with a golden kela, when I got the real deal here; Rs 4 only and edible too.” Now even though I am not a huge fan of Sonakshi’s ‘not-so-sporting’ behaviour, but I have to confess that was a great way of hitting back at the wicked Golden Kela guys.
Not many celebs have the nerve to take the Golden kela jokes in their stride. But there are a couple who laugh it out and think that it’s great to have something equivalent to Hollywood’s Razzies. Way back in 2009, Abhishek Bachchan was overjoyed when he received the worst accent for Delhi 6. He didn’t mind receiving the honour with a cool grin on his face. Even Aamir once said in an interview that everything else is rubbish, only the Golden Kela is the decent deal that we have.
Even though I love Sona’s ‘hitting back’ strategy, I still think she needs to take it easy and not lose her cool for every silly thing out there. Maybe she can take a cue from her seniors Abhishek Bachchan and the perfectionist Mr Khan.
