Why Kareena and Hrithik backed out of Karan Johar’s Shuddhi?
The question is creating lots of buzz and noise right since the idea germinated in filmmaker Karan Johar’s fertile mind. Inspired by Amish Tripathi’s best-selling novel Immortals Of Meluha, there’s obviously a lot that’s being expected from the project. There has been this nail biting tension surrounding the most important question- who’s going to step into the shoes of Shiva and Sati. It wasn’t hard to guess that the guy with the Greek bod Hrithik Roshan will be on the top of the list. And yes KJo approached him; he gave his nod and then came into the picture, the stud’s ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor. Johar thought Bebo will fit the bill perfectly.
She was fixed for the role of the fiery sword wielding princess. The ex-lovers coming together for a film after years created bold headlines. It was left for the fans to understand that the ‘bitter affair’ was all in the past and the two have moved on and there’s nothing new in doing a movie with your ex right? Deepika and Ranbir did it.
But looks like things weren’t meant to be all smooth and hunky dory. Out of the blue Hrithik and Bebo backed out of the film, and now Deepika and Ranveer have been chosen for this coveted assignment.
All this really makes you wonder if Hrithik and Kareena have really moved on? Has their ‘once upon a time’ torrid affair rendered them incapable of being friends with each other again? The two somehow mustered up the courage of acting with each other again, but seems like they were still wrestling with the decision of being a part of the film.
Well, I wonder if the Yaadein pair will ever want to share screen space with each other anymore. But the good thing that’s come out of it is that Ranveer and Deepika, who are already an item will get to spend some real quality time with each other on the sets of Shuddhi. Guess the lovebirds should show KJo some genuine ‘lurve’ after this official announcement…no? What do you think?
