And just while he was doing so, he couldn’t stop himself from making a joke out of the most controversial event of the month – The whole Tarun Tejpal drama. Khan was asked to say a romantic dialogue at the event. So indulging in some harmless flirting with the Aaj Tak anchor, he said that he would love to romance her everywhere, in the garden, in the lift…and just when he said that, he paused for a moment and quipped, “nahi nahi lift nahi, journalist koh lift mein kuch kia toh gadbad ho jayegi.” Of course he had to add a li’l more tadka to his humour, so he went ahead and said, “The meaning of the Adnan Sami song Lift kara de has changed completely now.” The audience was in gales of laughter after hearing that.
The actor spoke about practically everything under the sun, right from success to a li’l bit about arch rival Salman Khan. The funniest part arrived when he was made to do the Lungi dance and he took a swipe at the organisers by saying that, ‘itne serious aur intellectual event mein bhi Lungi dance karwa rahe ho.’
He was in a jovial mood throughout, goofing around and spreading joy in his silly and sarcastic way. But nothing could beat the way he jested about the Tehelka honcho.
