The actor confessed in a recent interview that life is not hunky dory for all Bollywood celebs out there. People think that actors have a very stable and a comfortable life but Hooda has no qualms in declaring that he has been a nomad for quite a while now, shifting from one place to another. He definitely wants to experience stability but with a meditative look on his face, he says that he is ready to be patient for it.
Just when you start wondering if he always speaks in an ‘oh-I-am-so-ordinary’ kind of a tone, he proves you wrong by bringing his typical ‘Bollywood hero-style’ self to the fore. So when I asked that does he think, he is underrated as an actor, he paused for a while and said, “Well, it’s better to be underrated than overrated naa.” And then winked, with his fingers pointed right at the press in a playful manner, as if that was a gesture of touché…
But the underrated actor confesses that he loves to give a realistic look to every character he takes up in the film.In Highway for instance, he tried his best to convince Imtiaz (the director of the film) to have scars on his face and body just like one of those rustic toughies, but Imtiaz wouldn’t budge. But apparently he did manage to have a temporary tattoo somewhere on his wrist to give an edge to his character, and he very responsibly managed to maintain that throughout the shoot.
The actor confessed that he becomes way too involved in his role at times. I was surprised to discover that he didn’t talk to Alia for practically 21 days just because he wanted to maintain the demeanour of a ruthless kidnapper. It was Ms Bhatt who broke the ice and they started talking during the shoot.
The actor is receiving rave reviews for his role in the movie. Looks like it’s time to buy a flat of your own perhaps, Randeep!
