And all this because the release of his next film Bombay Velvet has reportedly been postponed. Now the thing that’s gnawing away at the Kapoor kid’s brain is that since Bombay Velvet will directly release in 2015, after a good one year or so, won’t he lose out one that ‘top of the mind’ recall space in the collective minds of the audience? This thing has been worrying Ranbir more than the issue of Katrina leaving him for his Casanova ways.
So what exactly the Kapoor kid is doing to solve this irritating problem? Well, the Barfi! dude is also a smart strategist along with being a good actor. He has requested the makers of his next film Roy to release the film as soon as possible. Now if sources are to be believed, it seems the actor doesn’t have a major portion in the movie. He has quite a small part. But he is doing what it takes to steal the limelight from the poor Arjun Rampal and the gorgeous Jacqueline Fernandez. So now you have all the right to think that RK is ‘super chaalu’…in an endearing way of course!
It seems the release of Bombay Velvet will mostly be moved on to a later date because it’s clashing with Rajkuma Hirani’s Peekay. Obviously competing with a Hirani film would be the dumbest business move ever. While the makers are still dealing with the confusion and brouhaha over the release of the film, Ranbir out here is losing his sleep thinking about his public image.
We suggest RK takes it easy and takes a chill-pill. He should know by now that he is inarguably one of the best we have. He does one film a year or no film at all, he will continue to be one of those dudes you look at, and mumble something like this in your head…‘he has great potential man!’
