This time, they fit a soft and sexy looking Priyanka Chopra like a glove fits to a hand, smoothly and perfectly! Who could have thought she would look this rough and tough, ever?
She does, though and like how! This is about the first-look poster of Priyanka’s next film based on boxing champion Mary Kom’s life titled, Mary Kom! The killer poster got released recently, and man, it does WOW you!
These surely are golden days of Indian cinema where the subjects as diverse as a woman fighter’s dark and dazzling life, are made into movies. The bonus is that some real performers are getting a chance to showcase their talent in such flicks. So is our PC!
Mary Kom is a Manipur based boxing champion who is a mother of twins and a housewife as well when she is not punching her opponents off! She has made our country proud by being the only woman to have won a medal in each of the six world championships and winning a bronze medal in 2012 Summer Olympics.
To play her role in a movie must be every actress’s dream, but only one could qualify. For now, producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali trusted Priyanka to bring justice to this path-breaking role and she seems to have left no stone un-turned to give more than her best. Omung Kumar has directed this Viacom 18 Production, and it is set to be released on 5th September 2014.
Going by the poster, it is obvious that PC had to put torturous amount of hard work to get into the physical shape of a boxing champ! Achieving that is like more than half job done, rest half is acting and we are assuming she would have done a good job there too. She did bring her hard work to our eye-scope by Tweeting with her poster launch, ‘Heart. Blood. Sweat. Soul. i’ve given it my all. Over to you guys now!’
Her earnestness is definitely seen to be believed!
It doesn’t matter how many jokes are making rounds about PC singing duds or about her personal life, but when it comes to her acting prowess, she sure is one of the highly talented actresses of B-town. It undeniably takes immense efforts to come out of one’s comfort zone and to play a role like this. Hats off to her for attempting this role of a lifetime with the heart of steel! Moreover, I guess she is done with her share of mindless commercial cinema and now is the time to showcase her talent than just her gorgeous looks!
This poster has definitely raised the expectations and we surely hope that the movie will not disappoint us!
