The vivacious pair of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh not just gave us amazing movies, but also a love story so touching that the bubbly duo has become our most favourite star couple in Bollywood. When the nation’s heartthrob got married to the reigning queen of B-Town in an intimate ceremony, it broke a million hearts. But now is the time for you to rejoice! As the cutesy real life couple is coming back onscreen in October in a comedy flick ‘Besharam’. The absolute icing on the cake is that the duo would be sharing screen space with the current Rs 100-cr hero and their son Ranbir!
When the stunning pair wooed us in movies like ‘Rafoo Chakkar’, ‘Khel Kehl Mein’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, and ‘Kabhi Kabhi, among others, it was Rishi who was the strapping young man, while his then-girlfriend Neetu was deliciously plump. But in a cool twist, it’s the wifey dear who is looking smoking hot these days, while Chintu-ji has piled on massive kilos. I guess this is what makes the two tick, as they look endearing and fresh, despite being with each other for over three decades. The last time the cute couple came onscreen, albeit briefly, was in Yash Raj’s last outing ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. Even though they have just a couple of scenes in the movie, their crackling chemistry shows and you can actually feel how much the two mean to each other. Did you also go awww? Ah, well.
‘Besharam’ is their first full-fledged movie together after a very long time. In this comic caper, the two play parents to Ranbir and take their besharam son to task. As Inspector Chulbul Chautala Jan and Head Constable Bulbul Chautala Jan, Rishi and Neetu get into hell lot of problems due to Babli Jan (Ranbir). What happens when the three come onscreen is what makes this movie a MUST watch.
The recently released song ‘Chal Haath Uthake Nache’ from ‘Besharam’ has the three Kapoors in their elements. You also get to see Neetu grooving, much like her heroine days, after almost three decades. It does look like the trio will pull off a massive hit, considering how Ranbir is on a roll lately and the Rishi-Neetu Jodi is something we have being dying to see onscreen. But in a bid to bring the three together, will the movie lose out on plot? Will it be just another caricature-esque comedy with poor double meaning jokes?
