Madhuri Dixit looks nothing less than a diva in the first look poster of her new film Dedh Ishqiya
After blowing us over with her glamorous avtaar during her stint as a judge on Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, Madhuri Dixit is back to mesmerize us again. But, this time you will not see her in elegant Sabyasachi creations or chic Nikhil Thampi designs.
Mads has gone completely ethnic and old school in her upcoming film Dedh Ishqiya in which she will be seen sharing screen space with the notorious Ishqiya duo– Naseerudin Shah and Arshad Warsi. We hear the two will remain incorrigible goons in the sequel as well, and the ‘Dhak Dhak’ babe will make these two go head over heels in love with her, with that typical ‘Umrao Jaan’ kind of ‘nazakat’.
Dixit even shared her first look picture on microblogging site Twitter. “Here is the 1st look of Begum Para from Dedh Ishqiya, hope you all like it,” she wrote. In the poster Madhuri is seen in a pretty traditional outfit. Temple earrings, a sparkly neck piece and a gorgeous glittering nose stud complete her look.
We also hear that director Abhishek Chaubey had absolutely no plans of having a sequel to the film, until good friend Vishal Bhardwaj insisted that Chaubey must give making Dedh Ishqiya a serious thought. Finally, after a lot of brainstorming, the makers finalized on a story and Madhuri Dixit to play the elegant Begum for this black comedy.
While Vidya Balan went all rustic in the first part, Mads has taken the royal ‘nawabi’ fashion route in the sequel. These Bollywood women are creating a fashion riot in the Ishqiya series, we definitely like!
