Directed and written by Sanjay Chhel, Kill the rapist releases next year. The promo surely gives you goose bumps. Anjali Patil plays the protagonist in the film, and just like any other urban girl, ends up feeling all unsafe and helpless right in India’s capital city.
The film doesn’t just give a real picture of the abysmal state of the way women are treated, but also the lackadaisical attitude of the government. Anjali was last seen doing a hard-hitting role in Chakravyuh. With the rise of rape cases in the country, most of which are brushed under the carpet, and only few of them are reported, Anjali couldn’t have chosen a better project to raise awareness.
The makers have come up with a cool idea for the ending of the film. They have asked the audience to come up with the appropriate verdict which will be finally chosen as climax of the film.
There are certain scenes in the promo which are downright brutal, and imagine all of this happens in real life too. It takes courage and honesty to talk about such subjects. Kill the rapist seems like an earnest endeavour, do let us know your views though!
