Some agenda again with Kapil ‘the comedy king’ Sharma!
Yeah guys, we already shared the news of Kapil Sharma quitting TV and taking a leap on to the big screen. He has signed a three-movie contract with the Yashraj Banner – a dream come true for any actor, you bet! Kapil also has a mouth-watering deal with the YRF’s Talent Management Wing that manages celebrity endorsements & films.
The unanimously crowned ‘Badshah of Comedy’ has created a niche for himself on TV with his immensely popular comedy show – ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’, and now all his fans look forward to his new venture. Our best wishes are with Mr. Sharma – the reigning King of Comic Indian Television.
The first movie to go on the floors is ‘Bank Chor’ an out-and-out comedy thriller. Well, isn’t this obvious? Yashraj has definitely picked Kapil for his comedy timing and to start with we really do not expect Kapil to do a Devdas wooing some Paro or a Chandramukhi!
Insiders tell us that Yashraj contacted Nargis Fakri to play the female lead against Kapil. Another palpable choice, given the Uday Chopra and Nargis Fakri link-up!
However, Ms Fakri seems to have refused the offer due to unavailability of dates. Well, really? Only Ms. Fakri is in a position to give a crunchy byte on the matter that whether it is a schedule issue or her alleged break-up with Junior Chopra.
Her refusal is a blessing in disguise for most of us, as we would love to see Ms. Fakri doing a usual romantic flick (her forte which seems) rather than accompanying Kapil in a comedy thriller. A total spoiler that would be!! (That was actually below the belt, we know it’s not her cup of tea). Yashraj would be taking a great risk by pairing ‘desi’ Kapil Sharma with his Punjabi intonation along with the ‘videshi mem’ Nargis Fakri with her outrageous foreign accent. We are taking this liberty here to mention Nargis’s awful comic timing whose glimpses we saw at an episode of “Koffee with Karan” where she did manage to pull a manic laughter with all credits to her low IQ levels!
So, if it is not Nargis, then who is it with Kapil for Bank Chor? We would have to wait for some more time to get an answer to this one. Nevertheless, we are sure that the Yashraj banner would find the best ‘dulhaniya for our dilwala Kapil’
In the meanwhile, who do we, as audience, wish to see Kapil romancing? We have already seen him flirting with all the Bollywood divas that come to his TV show for their film promotions. From Sonakshi Sinha to Kareena Kapoor Khan and from Deepika Padukone to Madhuri Dixit, Kapil has confessed his love & admiration for all! (What a flirt he is) But it goes without saying that he is the grandest entertainer of all who keeps us glued to “chota screen” whenever he makes an appearance!
