While some make amends after they have spilled the venom, there also a few who strategically impress everyone with their smart compliments right from the start. Varun Dhawan, I think, belongs to the latter category.
The actor has taken the liberty to imitate and take digs at a couple of his seniors in his next film Main Tera Hero. He is seen copying Ranbir Kapoor – the way the dishy hunk spouts ‘Murphy’ instead of Barfi! in the Anurag Basu film. But we all know how chilled out Ranbir is…he will probably laugh about it and take it with a fistful of salt. But Dhawan got a li’l too free and dragged Katrina’s name as well. So there’s a scene in the promo in which Anupam Kher mocks Katrina’s Hindi and says, ‘Kutte ki dum aur Katrina ki Hindi kabhi seedhi nahi ho sakti.’ To this Mr Dhawan instantly says, ‘Uski Hindi pehle se kaafi acchi ho gayi hai.’ Now doesn’t that sound as if the Student Of The Year dude is trying his best to not irk the pretty babe here. C’mon firstly she’s a senior and I am sure Varun harbours a dream to work with the Dhoom:3 actor someday, so pissing her off is a big no-no for the stud who’s a ‘measly’ two films old. And she’s also not one of those ‘calm as a clam’ kinds, like her beau Ranbir Kapoor. It doesn’t take much time for Kat to give people the cold shoulder. So it doesn’t come as a surprise that Varun is being all smart in his approach.
Well, now that the Main Tera Hero dude has decided that he won’t call a spade a spade, we wait to see if his cool moves work with the ladies. Will Kat work with Dhawan anytime soon and give a pat on his back for singing her praises? Now that’s yet to be seen!
