Sajid Khan is back, with a bang, bang and yet another bang!
Yes you read it right! After his previous flick bombed miserably at the box office, he seems to have rejuvenated himself with a comic flick that is sure to tickle the funny bone of audiences, not once, not twice but umpteen times!
Indian cinema’s history is replete with movies where the hero has played double roles. Right from the black & white era with Dev Anand in Hum Dono till today with Hrithik in Krrish, we have seen our heroes perform this master act. But rarely has someone been able to do justice to a triple role. Of course, only the masters of the craft, the likes of Amitabh Bachchan and more recently Hrithik Roshan in Krrish 2, were offered such a role and no doubt, they did an amazing job.
However, it takes the craziness and real wild imagination of someone like Sajid Khan to make all three principal characters in his movie, play a triple role.
That’s much easier said than done considering the genre is comedy. There are chances that all the characters might look or act the same. But the trailer of Humshakals proves otherwise. The film seems to be a typical Sajid Khan styled fun caper, undoubtedly promising to be one of the most hilarious movies of this year.
In a foreign land, that we Indians are always so mesmerized with, Saif Ali Khan with his impeccable comic timing looks cute in a feminine character (he always had those looks, thanks to his mom, right?) in one of the three roles and to match his weirdness, Riteish Deshmukh brings his girly avatar, the one he seems to have completed his Phd. in! And joining this mad combo for the first time is TV’s heart-throb, cuddly bear, Ram Kapoor. This man has shown his funny side in the TV soap he acted in, but here, crossing all boundaries, he seems to be the surprise package, in his real elements.
The mad, rip-roaring, rollercoaster ride of three characters in triple roles is bound to create triple confusion, triple masti and triple laughter for the audience.
The trailer is bang on with the right mix of funny situations, awesome one-liners and the glamour ka tadka provided by none other than hot and sultry Bipasha Basu(Good to see her, thought maybe she took VRS.. Ha Ha!). Tamannaah Bhatia & Esha Gupta certainly added to the hotness quotient but is someone missing Jacqueline Fernandez? Guess not!!
We do hope the movie does wonders for we surely miss Sajid Khan brand of nonsensical comedy. It might not have something to take home but who cares! As long as it makes stomachs growl with pain due to loads of laughter, no one’s going to complain.
Get ready for some jaw exercise with Humshakals all set to confuse, errrr.. Entertain you with a capital E!
