Tu hi toh hai from Holiday has started doing the rounds of the virtual world.
Sung by Benny Dayal, this track has a nice peppy flavour. And Akshay and Sonakshi, as always seem extremely comfortable in each other’s presence. They have become such a consistent onscreen pair. Talking about the song, even though I like the tune, I can’t say the same about the way it’s shot.
I wonder why Akki has to dress like an immature high-school kid. In his colourful three-fourths and funky stoles, looks like Kumar desperately wanted to look a 20-something dude.
When Akki is not trying to act all cool and youthful, Sonakshi Sinha is seen indulging in sports and stuff – from boxing to rugby, she’s seen trying her hand at some back breaking games. And even though I like her attitude and confidence and all that jazz, it would had been great if she lost a couple of kilos her and there before she stepped into the shoes of an athletic chick who loves to sweat it out in the boxing ring and the stadium.
The concept of the movie sounds super interesting which is based on sleeper cells. And maybe to give that slight serious edge to it, the makers could have done away with those over-the-top songs. But the Ghajini director has to please the masses as well, and earn his moolah, right?
Kumar also tweeted about the song and asked his fans their opinion. The music is given by Pritam, so expect the other tracks to also be decent. I recommend Tu hi toh, it’s worth the space in your i-pod…
