The dialogue promos of Punit Malhotra’s Gori Tere Pyaar Mein are out and it totally looks like one hell of a crazy film. The two dialogue trailers give us a fair idea of what Kareena Kapoor and Imran Khan’s onscreen life is like.
While Bebo, just like majority of single girls, is dealing with the constant nagging of her parents to get married, Imran Khan is an absolute brat in the film whose folks are tired of his ‘devil may care’ attitude.
It all starts with a funeral scene where Kareena is standing next to the photograph of the deceased with her parents and instead of grieving, her mum is busy pointing out the most eligible bachelor amongst the white-clothes clad crowd. Imran, on the other hand, is so busy flirting his heart out and drinking away to glory that he doesn’t have the time to attend his aunt’s funeral. His dad taunts his son in a strong South Indian twang that someday he won’t have the time to attend his old man’s funeral as well. Punit Malhotra’s second film looks high on youthful madness and of course loads of Bollywood style romance.
Gori Tere Pyaar Mein releases on 22 November. While in Ekk Main Hu Aur Ekk Tu, Khan and Kareena were this ‘a geek falling for a fun-loving chick’ kinda jodi, in GTPM, everything seems to have reversed. Kareena is this serious activist and Imran is the wicked, carefree guy, who doesn’t have a care in the world.
After I Hate Luv Storys, Punit is all set with his second romantic romcom. He sticks to his signature style of creating fun stuff, nothing heavy, nothing arty-farty; plain light-hearted and love based.
