We talk about the first official trailer for the movie, Daawat-e Ishq from Yash Raj Films. It stars a fresh jodi of Aditya Roy Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. It looks like a breezy sweet rom-com catering to the youth of the country.
Don’t look surprised guys!
We know there is either a sadak chhap meal or a six-course meal! But trust Yash Raj Films to blend the two and bring to your platter something new and unique despite being common.
This, in short, is their new offering, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra starrer, Daawat-e-Ishq! It is sweet, it is spicy and it looks super fun.
It seems like the production house took help from some nutritionist while making the movie. It is really colorful, just like a food plate should be, for good health as advised by tones of food experts! Now the principal characters are from the cities of Hyderabad and Lucknow, famous not only for their colorful attires and language but also some of the most delicious food delicacies in the country. So Aditya is a cook from Lucknow while Parineeti is based in Hyderabad. The mixing of these two Nawabi cultures with distinct language dialects can only produce some rib-tickling fun and the movie seems to have a plate-full of it!
That is not all! The novelty of new pair, Aditya and Parineeti is a feast for not only the taste-buds but also for eyes! Both bring their individual charm to their characters which look endearing. While Parineeti can be seen showing almost the same bubbly and chirpy character she has mastered by now, Aditya has tried to let go off his suave cool urban-boy image to slip into a desi-cook’s character. The trailer looks impressive with his body language and distinct typical dialogue delivery, but will have to wait for the movie to gauge his actual performance.
As usual the music is sounding good as in all YRF flicks. In a lighter tone, the director, Habib Faisal has even touched upon the serious topics of dowry and corruption without being preachy about it. However, by the end of the trailer one wonders whether it is really a rom-com or a rom-con?
Yeah, the way Parineeti aka Gulrez changes colors; it seems the movie has an interesting twist that can only increase the flavor of the whole package. This next-gen of young actors is really trying hard to do something different, away from the prescribed norm which is impressive!
After looking at the trailer, we can only say that this looks like a light meal, not heavy on mind or heart. Hopefully we won’t need any digestive aids after viewing the film.
Go ahead and enjoy the trailer but mind you, it might make you super-hungry with yummy actors and delicious food in almost every frame of it!
