Since we all know how a typical Sooraj Barjatiya film looks like, suddenly an image of Dippy appearing in a saree with a pallu over her head appears in the mind. While we haven’t been able to lay our hands on the story yet, we wonder if Ms Padukone will be able to pull off a sati-savitri look. We are so used to seeing her in out-and-out bold roles that picturing her as one of those docile Indian women is a li’l hard to digest. From the fabulously fiery chick in Ram Leela to the bratty babe in Cocktail, the actor really has to come out of that ‘sexy lady’ mould to fit into Sooraj Barjatya’s vision of a quintessential Indian gal.
But all that analysis aside, what’s good news is Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone will be finally seen sharing screen space together. We are sure most of y’all know the age-old story about how the Bigg Boss host was the first one to spot her and offer her a film. For those of you who don’t, it goes somewhat like this. While Deepika was still trying to make it big in the modelling world, Salman had noticed her in a couple of ads and had recommended her name to Sooraj. But looks like destiny had some other plans. Before the Hum Aapke Hain Kaun director could give it a serious thought, Farah Khan put her dibs on Dips and Om Shanti Om went to become Ms Padukone’s debut film.
While there was some speculation in between that since Deepika and Salman are not exactly on good terms with each other, the babe decided to give promoting Ram Leela on Bigg Boss a royal miss. Well, looks like all that was just plain hogwash. The two hotties will be getting together very soon…and we really wait to see if they manage to create some sizzling sparks on screen or they simply go all phusss…!
