As 2013 slowly draws to a close, we take a look at some of the biggies lined up for release. The last three months of the year are crucial for collections as Deewali and Christmas holidays impact the BO in a major way. Of the following lot, which movie are you most excited about?
Krrish 3:
November will see the return of the superhero Hrithik Roshan in the third installment of Krrish. Directed by papa Rakesh Roshan, the film promises to take action and adventure to an all new level. With Viveik Oberoi and Kangna Ranaut playing vicious villains in the flick, it’s going to be one cracking affair this Diwali. Despite the music of the movie being panned by the critics, the film looks promising. Will Hrithk Roshan’s super stunts woo us this Diwali? We have our fingers crossed. You?
Ram Leela:
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Ram Leela will see alleged couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone playing star-crossed lovers. Slated for a mid-November release, the promo and songs are already being talked about for their rich look and opulent sets. Throw in Deepu-Ranveer chemistry and you have a sure shot winner in hands! SLB does deliver what he promises so we are hoping for a wholesome entertainer.
Gori Tere Pyaar Mei:
Mrs Chote Nawab aka Kareena Kapoor-Khan attempts a full-fledged commercial role post her marriage with Saif. This movie, where she is paired opposite Imran Khan, will break or make her career. Will she be accepted in this masala fare or her ‘Mrs’ tag go against her? We will find out during the third week of November. The last time these two paired up, the movie failed to create any buzz…will this one prove different?
Bullet Raja:
Following wifey dear’s release, Chote Nawab Saif will bring his rustic charm in the last week of November in ‘Bullet Raja’. The premise looks interesting as he already has gained fame for playing a village ruffian Langda Tyagi in ‘Omkara’. It’s the first time he has been cast with Sonakshi Sinha and we are dying to find out what kamaal this jodi does on the big screen.
R…Rajkumar:
Considering it’s a Prabhudeva movie and his brand of action will be shown, this Shahid Kapoor flick does have many expectations from us. Shahid has trained extensively to look the part of an action hero and he has also been cast opposite Sonakshi Sinha. Another hatke jodi…we like! Let’s hope the two deliver a massive hit when the movie comes out in the first week of December.
Dhoom 3:
Like a fitting climax, the year will come to and end with this year’s most anticipated flick ‘Dhoom 3’. Is the movie a brand name? Check. Does it have the elusive Aamir Khan in it? Check. Releasing on Christmas? Check. A sequel we are dying to watch? Check. Need we say more!
