2016 is the year Bollywood lovers should look forward to, as almost every superstar of the industry has a movie lined up next year.
Here’s a list of most awaited movies of 2016.
Fitoor
Based on Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, Fitoor is a romantic drama featuring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. The film also stars Tabu and Lara Dutta.
Fitoor is scheduled for release on 12th February 2016.
Kapoor & Sons
Directed by Shakun Batra, Kapoor & Sons starring Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Pakistani Superstar Fawad Khan is produced by Karan Johar.
The movie will be releasing in the first quarter of next year – 18th March 2016 to be precise.
Jagga Jasoos
Jointly produced by director Anurag Basu and Ranbir Kapoor, Jagga Jasoos is said to be releasing on 3rd June 2016.
Jagga Jasoos is also going to be Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s first movie together after the official announcement of their relationship. The plot revolves around a teenager searching his missing father.
Raees
Raees is the debut movie of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan. Jointly produced by Gauri Khan, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, the film is said to be set in 1980s and is a story of a cruel bootlegger played by Shahrukh Khan. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Farhan Akhtar will also be seeing playing important roles in the film.
Sultan
Sultan is Salman Khan’s “EID” release. Playing the role of a wrestler, the actor says that the film is stressful. In an interview given to Times of India, Salman Khan said, “I have to work a lot for this film. It is going to be a stressful film. In November, I start shooting for it. There is lot of action in it.. Wrestling types… Weights… Lot of muscles. I have to be very strong,”
Just like every year, we would be waiting for Salman’s release next Eid as well.
Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Said to be a remake of 1977’s Doosra Aadmi, this film will mark Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback. Another release of Karan Johar, this film also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
Most talked about movies Mohenjo Daro and Shuddhi are also scheduled for 2016. But no plot or posters have been released yet.
