And since he ends up making quite a mess, Ananya’s dad comes to the rescue to help the hero hone his ‘lungi-tying’ skills.
Arjun’s expressions are a million bucks when his to-be-father-in-law tucks the lungi in his underpants. It’s like he just got hit by the bullet. He rolls his bulbous eyes in extreme embarrassment.
There’s this one portion in the promo in which the Delhi bred Krish is seen saying in a sly manner that this whole lungi-tying ritual must be introduced by the South-Indians to check if every body part of the groom is functioning properly. Ahem ahem, we know which body part he is talking about here. Well, the cheekiness doesn’t end here; he goes on to say that his to-be-father-in-law doesn’t need to worry because his daughter Ananya has already checked if everything’s okay.
Arjun is seen flaunting his cool cartoon-ish boxers in the movie. It takes me back to Ranbir’s funky style in Wake up Sid. Ranbir should be given all the credit of getting this funky ‘boxer-flaunting’ style in movies. And now we are seeing other younger stars following suit of course. Talking about cartoon-printed boxers, in one of the scenes in the promo, Ananya’s dad thinks Krish looks very cartoonish in the lungi. The eye-opening scandalous moment arrives when the old man looks at Arjun and says, “Underwear exchange karna chahoge.”
I get good vibes form 2 States. It’s refreshing to see Alia and Arjun romancing each other in the typical unabashed youthful style.
But, someone must teach Arjun how to wear a lungi properly, any takers?
