There are a few features of Facebook which many of us are not aware or not accustomed to using. 5 such features which can make the portal more interesting.
Facebook is among the most popular social networking websites.
While most people register on this website to stay in touch with their near and dear ones, there are others who use it as a Social Media Marketing platform.
Beginners on Facebook indulge in only a handful of activities, which include uploading pictures, sharing posts, updating a status, and liking & commenting on posts of others.
However, there are a host of other features, which most users are not aware or not accustomed to using.
We bring for our readers, 5 features that can help make their Facebook experience more enjoyable and effortless.
1) Facebook on Outlook:
Most offices block social network sites and employees are not allowed to surf some specific websites. For the Facebook fanatics, there is an easy way out to this. This toolbar provided by techhit.com called FBLook, integrates a small toolbar inside MS Outlook and it allows the user to access the Facebook account.
2) Change Facebook Language:
There is an interesting option to change the language of Facebook. Users can make their page more attractive by changing the setting to ‘English (Upside Down)’, whereby all words appear upside down. They may select ‘Pirate English’ which displays text in a pirate style of language, such as, ‘What’s on your mind?’ would now show ‘What be troublin’ ye?’
3) Schedule Posts:
It is not necessary for one to stay awake at wee hours to make a post on Facebook. Users can schedule their posts for a later date and time, as well as one for a past date too! The member simply needs to click on the clock icon under the status bar and type in the date and time for the post.
4) Personal Groups:
Users can make a group for their close friends and relatives. This group is visible only to members. It is a great way to stay in touch with the ‘selected ones.’ To create this group, click on ‘Create Group’ and select ‘Secret.’
5) Turn off Chat for Selected Contacts:
Most people stay totally offline to avoid chatting with a few ‘unwanted friends.’ Facebook offers an option whereby only a selected group of friends can see if the user is online or not. Click on ‘advanced settings’ under ‘options’ on the right hand side bottom page. Click on ‘turn on chat for only some friends’ and key in the names.
There are many other unexplored options of Facebook. We have mentioned those which according to us are significant and can make using Facebook more enjoyable.
