Our life is almost impossible without these crucial innovations, which include computers, Smartphone, Facebook, Twitter, Google, and more.
Undoubtedly, all of these inventions have made life easier. Many of us have also got us addicted to them!
While we know who the geniuses are who created these mind-boggling hardware and software, we do not know much about them or their team. We take a peek into the lives of these highly accomplished innovators.
1) Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes: The son of a doctor couple – dentist Edward Zuckerberg and psychiatrist Karen Kempner, Mark Zuckerberg invented Facebook in the year 2004 along with his 3 classmates – Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, & Chris Hughes. Mark was a Harvard computer science student. He had a great technical acumen since childhood and he had created ZuckNet – an instant messenger service to enable easy communication among his family members.
2) Larry Page and Sergey Brin: The Co-founders of Google – Larry Page and Sergey Brin – were batch mates at the Stanford University. Their company Google Inc. had a very modest start from a friend’s garage in Menlo Park, Calif.
3) Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone, and Noah Glass: In March 2006, the foursome – Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone, and Noah Glass, invented Twitter. Jack Dorsey also created Square – a popular online payment platform. A lesser-known fact about Jack is that he is also a certified masseur and he also had interest in fashion designing!
4) Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim: Colleagues at PayPal, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim invented YouTube. YouTube became a rage in a short span of time and made video sharing easy for the users. The first video on the website was uploaded in 2005 which had Jawed Karim visiting the San Diego Zoo.
5) Bradford Parkinson, Roger L. Easton, and Ivan A. Getting: The U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), consisting of a team of veterans, including Bradford Parkinson, Roger L. Easton, and Ivan A. Getting invented the GPS (Global Positioning System). DOD spent 12 billion dollars for the research work of this project. All the founders of GPS have received some of the most prestigious awards for their efforts.
