Knowing what the high command is capable of doing, in terms of providing false grounds, we may say this is one mission accomplished.
Finally, the Congress high command has succeeded in doing what looked impossible – she has seemingly united a handful of party’s followers and its haters.
This happened when Shashi Tharoor was sacked as Congress spokesperson on special request from Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee for showering praises on our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The fans of Shashi Tharoor were equally shocked and disappointed as Congress’ haters.
Undoubtedly, the sacking will give Modi an upper hand who can say that all he wanted was to reach out.
But the real martyr here, ladies and gentlemen, is one and only Tharoor.
Soon, everybody was taking a high moral ground and defending him. Social media was flooded with messages which slammed the Congress party for needling Tharoor. Tweets like ones below were floating on twitter were senior BJP leaders were also coming in his defence.
Tharoor’s indiscipline: 1. Didn’t attack Modi while abroad. Said ‘He’s my PM too.’ 2. Graciously accepted the Swachh Bharat invitation.

Shashi Tharoor castigated for accepting PM’s offer for a noble cause of #SwachhBharat is nothing but height of political intolerance!

Suddenly, Tharoor’s world turned more colourful when people started paying attention to his virtues – charm, sense of humour, handsomeness (yes) and education. His cultured, self-made and articulate self was put in comparison to the ‘nincompoop’ Nehru-Gandhis who had, according to the ‘critics’, surpassed their ‘lunacy’.
We all know that for Congress, Modi is “the one who should not be named”, just like Lord Voldemort. And it is a practice they abide by since Modi started scaling the heights and inching towards 10 Janpath during his Gujarat chief minister days.
The second rank in the Congress party is always held by sycophants who know nothing but how to keep high command happy. For them, Sonia Mata is their real Mata. Tharoor has always known this fact and yet been a rebel in the party.
In addition to this, Tharoor is walking in the gray area of his wife Sunanda Pushkar’s unnatural death/suicide/murder. Someone mentioned on twitter:
1) Let’s get one thing straight: Tharoor joined politics–and Cong–not out of any love for India but coz he’d hit a dead-end in the UN.

Tharoor was handpicked by Congress high command and has been very close to Rahul Gandhi since then.
He was sacked for praising the arch-enemy and not for the living in the shadows of his wife’s death. Now those defending him are the same people who hated Tharoor after the release of fresh autopsy report of his wife.
Knowing what the high command is capable of doing, in terms of providing false grounds, we may say this is one mission accomplished.
